- Follow local laws regarding online communication and recording
- Give people space—not everyone wants to be matched repeatedly
❌ DO NOT:
- Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
- Share explicit sexual content or engage in sexually explicit conversations
- Display or distribute pornography, violent content, or hate speech
- Promote self-harm, suicide, or violence against any person or group
- Engage in scams, fraud, or phishing—including asking for money or gifts
- Impersonate others or create fake accounts
- Record or screenshot video calls without explicit consent from all participants
- Share personal information about others without their permission
- Spam or excessively promote commercial products, services, or other platforms
- Use racist, sexist, homophobic, or otherwise discriminatory language
- Post content that invades privacy or could be used to dox someone
Video Chat Specific Guidelines
When using video features specifically:
- Dress appropriately: Wear clothing you would feel comfortable wearing in public
- Ensure appropriate background: Avoid showing explicit, offensive, or overly personal items in your camera view
- Obtain consent: Ask before recording screenshots, and respect a "no" immediately
- Be mindful of others: If someone ends a call, respect their decision without pressuring for an explanation
- Use features responsibly: Don't abuse reporting systems or block features to harass others
Content & Conversation Boundaries
While Cam Today encourages open conversation, certain topics and behaviors cross the line:
Political discussions are welcome when conducted respectfully. Personal attacks, misinformation, or extremist content are not.
Religious conversations are acceptable when done with curiosity rather than proselytizing. Respect others' beliefs and never pressure anyone to adopt your views.
Adult content is strictly prohibited. Cam Today is not an adult platform, and sexually explicit material or behavior will result in immediate ban.
Commercial activity should not dominate conversations. Casual mentions of work or business are fine, but active selling, recruitment, or promotion is prohibited without prior permission.
Enforcement & Consequences
Our moderation team reviews reports and takes action based on severity and context:
- Warning: For first-time, low-severity violations
- Temporary suspension: For repeated or moderate violations
- Permanent ban: For severe offenses like harassment, explicit content, or illegal activity
We may also remove specific content that violates guidelines without suspending the entire account, depending on the situation.
Appeals Process
If you believe your account was suspended or banned in error, you can appeal by contacting our support team at [email protected]. Provide your username, the action taken, and why you believe it was a mistake. We review appeals fairly and respond within a reasonable timeframe.
Reporting Violations
If you witness behavior that violates these guidelines, use the report function immediately. Provide as much detail as possible—what happened, when, and any relevant context. Reports are confidential, and we never retaliate against users who report in good faith.
Updates to Guidelines
These guidelines may be updated periodically to address new challenges or clarify expectations. Significant changes will be communicated to users. Continued use of Cam Today after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised guidelines.
